Frequently Asked Questions

Q:

How do I refer a patient?

Simply click on “Refer a Patient” and complete the form. Our team will follow up within 24 hours to gather any additional details and guide you through the next steps.

Q:

Where is the patient treated?

We bring the treatment to you. Wound Hubs provides care wherever you live —whether that’s in your home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or rehab center. Our licensed nurse practitioners and doctors come directly to you with all the necessary equipment and advanced therapies, so you don’t have to travel or wait in a clinic. We make healing convenient, private, and personal.

Q:

Can anyone get the treatment?

Wound Hubs provides advanced wound care treatments primarily for patients aged 65 and older who have Medicare Part B

coverage. In most cases, if the patient has a chronic, non-healing wound and is eligible under Medicare guidelines,

treatment is fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost

.

We also work with other insurance plans, but eligibility may vary. A patient advocate will review each case to determine coverage and help get everything approved.

Q:

Does the treatment work?

Yes—advanced wound care treatments, especially when using biologic grafts like amniotic membranes, PRP, and collagen-based therapies, have shown significantly higher healing rates compared to traditional methods. Studies indicate that chronic wounds treated with these regenerative therapies can heal up to 60–80% faster and with lower risk of infection or amputation. For example, Medicare data shows that patients receiving amniotic grafts had up to a 92% wound closure rate within 12 weeks, versus less than 50% with conventional care.

These treatments not only close wounds—they also help regenerate healthy tissue, reduce scarring, and improve long-term outcomes.
